Tasks
The General Ledger Manager will :
- Perform closing tasks such as calculation, booking, reconciliation and clearing of general ledger accounts in a timely and accurate way.
- Participate as an auditor in the annual LHG ICS (Internal Control System).
- Contribute with his/her accounting expertise, playing an essential role during the SAP4HANA implementation and the LHG Finance Transformation Program, by guaranteeing that the new software and way of working comply with Belgian GAAP statutory requirements.
- Lead accounting projects in order to deal with new company activities or efficiency projects.
- Be the point of contact for internal and external auditors regarding the assigned areas of responsibility.
Your profile
- Chartered accountant in Belgium
- Experience in both Belgian Statutory accounting and IFRS
- Experience in a complex international accounting environment
- Experience in leading projects
- Overall minimum 5 years of business experience
- SAP knowledge
- Excellent Excel knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Analytical skills, organised, focused on improvements, facts and accuracy
- Positive and collaborative mindset
- Ability to diagnose and structure complex issues
- Team player who is not afraid to take the lead on projects
- Languages: Proficient in English. French & Dutch: knowledge of this language is an asset
