On-Site Dallas-Fort Worth Area Aviation Repair Environment

We’re hiring a Shop Supervisor / Working Lead for a hands-on leadership role within a specialized aviation repair environment supporting commercial and defense-related customers.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in an FAA Part 145 repair station or similar regulated aviation repair setting who can help lead day-to-day shop operations while still working alongside the team. The right candidate will be comfortable balancing workflow coordination, documentation, quality standards, and hands-on repair support in a small-team environment.

This is not a desk-only management role. We’re looking for someone who can help keep the shop organized, support technicians, maintain turnaround expectations, and contribute directly to the work getting done.

• Help oversee daily shop operations and adjust priorities based on workflow and customer requirements

• Create, manage, and track work orders to ensure jobs move efficiently through the shop

• Receive and process incoming units accurately and on time in internal systems

• Support technicians in following repair procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements

• Coordinate workflow, scheduling, and shop-floor priorities to maintain productivity

• Perform and maintain accurate data entry in internal systems and customer-facing portals

• Provide updates on workflow, job status, and performance during operations or management meetings

• Work hands-on with the team to support repair activity and day-to-day production needs

• Maintain accurate documentation for repair, rejection, and scrap decisions

• Help ensure work is completed in compliance with internal procedures and applicable regulatory standards

• 2+ years of experience in the aviation industry

• Prior experience in a lead, supervisory, or working lead capacity

• Experience in an FAA Part 145 repair station or similar regulated aviation repair environment

• Willingness to perform hands-on shop work while leading a small team

• Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills

• Ability to manage workflow, work orders, schedules, and job status updates

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with multiple levels of the organization

• Good judgment, critical thinking, and strong attention to quality

• High school diploma or equivalent

• U.S. work authorization required; must be able to work in a regulated environment supporting defense-related programs

• Ability to qualify for an FAA Repairman Certificate with employer sponsorship, if required

• Current FAA Repairman Certificate

• Prior A&P certification or equivalent aviation maintenance background

• Experience supporting military or defense-related aviation programs

• Background in component repair, overhaul, bench repair, or specialized aviation shop work

• Familiarity with quality and regulatory standards such as FAA, ISO 9001, AS9110, or similar

• Spanish bilingual skills are a plus

• Forklift experience is a plus

The ideal candidate is a hands-on aviation professional who understands how to lead in a repair environment without stepping away from the work itself. This person should be comfortable helping organize shop activity, supporting technicians, keeping work moving, and maintaining documentation and quality expectations in a regulated setting.

Candidates with backgrounds in Part 145 repair stations, component repair operations, or specialized aviation maintenance shops will likely be the strongest fit.
