Nightwing is seeking an experienced and cleared Logistics Manager.
The Team Lead will be responsible for managing a highly qualified small team in support of customer operations with a focus on managing services, information and equipment movements. The Team Lead will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and reviewing the work performed by their team members, they will also be responsible for conducting on the job training for new hires and junior staff, troubleshoot any issues and interface directly with customer management to ensure seamless support. They will also be required to coordinate efforts across diverse teams to meet rapidly evolving technical and functional requirements, including procurement and logistical support for customer missions.
*Must have a TS/SCI security clearance with Poly on day one of employment and must be eligible for crossover.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Review of support requirements, requesting and scheduling of services, and support of staging activities
Develop and implement processes for equipment management, replenishment of parts and components, resource management
Generate charts, tables, reports, correspondence and other materials
Government and company property tracking and control
Analyze and reconcile information, investigate inconsistencies, determine and communicate impacts, initiate and take corrective action
Coordinate with peers and management to ensure policies and procedures contribute to successful execution of program requirements
Operate pallet trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment in support of loading dock and warehousing functions
Operate vehicles to transport material and equipment
Build and maintain relationships utilizing tact, persuasion and negotiation skills
Ability to identify shortfalls, and work to identify any problems, quantify the severity, and suggest a resolution and/or mitigation plan
Ensure employees are knowledgeable to meet the customer/program and mission requirements
Coordinate with Program Management to ensure overall team composition adequately distributes experience and capabilities across the teams to meet requirements
Serve as primary point of contact for customer within the mission area and support leadership meetings (customer and Nightwing), as well as any ad-hoc meetings when requested
Responsible for ensuring timecards are entered and approved on time
Responsible for working with Program Management to provide the following for their team members: Performance Feedback, Reviews, Recognition of Contributions, and Disciplinary Actions
Required Skills:
Experience in property management, tracking, and control
Technical background with experience managing and coordinating requirements
Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills, highly literate in desktop computing and application programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook)
Detail oriented team player with excellent communication and organization skills
Results oriented with ability to function effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Knowledgeable of security guidelines related to material movement
Desired Skills:
Understanding of Information Technology and Networking
Experience with ordering, requesting, and tracking services and/or supplies
Familiar with customer specific applications for equipment management and work flow
Certified to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, banding and packaging machines
Self-motivated and passionate about supporting the mission
Solid understanding of program risk relating to success and customer satisfaction
Knowledge of MSOffice applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access and Project
Additional Requirements:
Willing to work until 4:30 PM (Monday thru Friday) and later when situation demands
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of five (5) years of experience
Eight (8) years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree
Six (6) years of professional experience
*Active and transferable Active U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
