As a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO), with non-supervisory responsibilities for Special Access Programs, the CPSO will assist in administering the security program for the handling and safeguarding of classified information in support of a large SAP. You will be responsible for routinely working with all levels of program management and government customers. Your working knowledge of the NISPOM, DoDM 5205.07, Volumes 1 – 4 SAP Security Manual, ICD 705, Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG) and related references are essential to your success.
What You Will Do
- Provide security guidance regarding program development/operations, assuring compliance with applicable government and company regulations,
- assisting in developing, obtaining approval for, and implementing security policies and procedures specific to the program to include the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP),
- Participate in self-inspections and government compliance inspections, initiating and completing Corrective Action Plans (CAP),
- Conduct inquiries into security incidents, writing reports, making recommendations for corrective actions, reviewing Assured File Transfers (AFTs) for proper classification/declassification prior to release,
- assisting with security education as needed, coordinating program activities with subordinates and peers,
- Provide security/classification guidance to program accessed personnel,
- representing security at program meetings,
- Review CDRLs/SDRLs and other deliverables for proper spaning and sanitization,
- Participate in OPSEC planning and implementation, and resolving security issues as needed.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in security management, Criminal Justice, Business Management, or similar curriculum and a minimum of 8 years’ experience working in Industrial Security, Information Assurance/Cyber, Special Programs, security management, military, or government information security programs
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued TOP SECRET clearance prior to start date, U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with all Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Prior CPSO experience
- Organized self-starter capable of identifying priorities and multi-tasking, willing to work extended hours and travel on company business
- Experience in the Special Programs environment
- Industrial Security certificates

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
