Key Responsibilities:The program manager supports the regulatory compliance function and strategy for United Cargo! Assists in liaison activities to the FAA Principle Operations Inspector for the airline operating certificate as well as Principle Hazardous Materials Inspector. This role will assist the division to address OSHA, DOD, FAA Letters of Concern (LOC), Hazard Letters, ATOS/SASO inspection results, Letters of Investigations, Civil Penalties, Voluntary Self Disclosures, and international CAA inspections. The manager will lead and facilitate investigations and root cause analysis for regulatory non-compliance issues and ensures comprehensive measures are developed to preclude further regulatory issues across all stations.
- Regulatory compliance - leads division cause analysis for regulatory non-compliance issues while ensuring comprehensive corrective actions to address issues; ensures associated commitments are implemented
- Advises investigations and validation processes for implementation of corrective actions for regulatory violations, FAA Requests for Information (RFI), LOCs, Air Transportation Oversight System (ATOS) and System Assurance System (SAS)
- Leads development of responses to FAA, OSHA, and CAA letters of investigation and Voluntary Disclosure Reporting Programs
- Assists senior manager in preparing legal counsel for negotiations of FAA and OSHA civil penalty cases
QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):- Bachelors degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
- 4+ years of experience working in an aviation/logistics capacity or similar experience
- Proven skill in preparing written and verbal communications, solid understanding of Federal Aviation and/or applicable foreign regulations
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):- Masters degree or 6 years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrated experience working with governmental or regulatory agencies
- Formal cause analysis or investigation training
The base pay range for this role is $99,750.00 to $135,960.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
