• This job is within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the Mortgage Closing group at Credit Union.

• Train, mentor and develop staff, including planning, monitoring, and providing effective feedback through employee recognition, and coaches and counsels, when necessary
• Provide ongoing support/training of current Team members
• Provide backup to staff as needed for seasonal fluctuation in volume
• Handle escalated member requests
• Assist in the development of new procedures and implementation of new technologies
• Evaluate system/process workflows and provides recommendations for improvements
• Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of compliance with applicable regulations
• Interact with members and 3rd party vendors
• Coordinate system testing needs
• Work closely with Mortgage Production, Loan Servicing, and Accounting
• Manage and reconcile monthly invoices
• Perform other duties as assigned
• The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in a financial/banking institution with working knowledge of products, processes, polices, and services
• Previous mortgage lending experience
• Knowledge of loan origination/processing systems (Prime Alliance, Episys, and FICS)
• Previous system management and testing process experience
• Previous supervisory experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
• Ability to work well in a fast paced environment and multi task with attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency
• Skilled in mathematics and analytical ability
• Ability to demonstrate superior people management and employee engagement skills, to include directing, coaching, counseling and motivating staff
• Ability to supervise multiple staff personnel
• Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff and work closely with multiple departments
• Ability to manage projects in accordance with short and long range objectives
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work well under deadlines and high volume pressure
• Ability to maintain a satisfactory performance and attendance
• Ability to work varying schedules and shifts as required
• Ability to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
