SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of quality assurance disciplines required.
- Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) required.
- Expertise in technical quality tools and techniques.
- Ability to multi task and prioritize workload within department.
- Ability to successfully coordinate efforts of staff outside of individual’s span of authority.
- Up to fifteen (15%) travel required with significant supplier/customer interface.
- Previous experience working within a supplier quality department is required.
- Previous management experience is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills - creative thinker with exemplary written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate orally or in written form with both co-management and internal/external customers and regulatory representatives (DCMA/FAA) is required.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues is required.
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
- Process improvement experience is required.
- Thorough knowledge of AS 9100 and ISO 9001 is required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project.
- Experience and strong understanding of regulatory requirements associated with 14 CFR Part 21 and Part 145 is required.
- Background in Aviation/Aerospace is required.
- The ability to understand and follow instructions and the ability to concentrate.
- Access to Export Control Information.
- Regular attendance at the work site is required
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four-year College with 6 – 10 years in aviation quality roles and/or training or equivalent combination of education and training.
