Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversight and management of technical shared-resource teams, supporting both Production and Engineering, providing metrology and test equipment build / repair services.
- Management of full lifecycle Production and Engineering assets, including the processes, procedures, and records for the induction, calibration (in-house & off-site), repair, preventative maintenance, and disposition.
- Management and support of asset management audits for Finance, Government, and direct customers.
- Production liaison to Engineering services and Test Systems groups during the development, integration, and deployment of assets to the production floor.
- Management of production capital expenditures, including business justification, management of change, procurement, and deployment.
- Propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles.
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience, lead small projects, explain information, and set performance expectations.
- A job at this level requires a people leader with ability to hire and develop talent. This includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in manufacturing)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading people within a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong background in electronics test equipment design, build, and troubleshooting / repair.
- Experience in the deployment and management of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Strong understanding of metrology management software (i.e., MetTeam, MetCal, Maximo, etc.)
- Experience in LEAN Manufacturing / process improvement.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
