Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to join the PAC-3 Program, in Huntsville, Alabama.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines
- Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
- Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manages, develops and motivates employees
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position could be for various shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
Candidates must be willing to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- More than 1 year of experience leading projects and/or teams
- More than 3 years of experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment
- More than 3 years of experience using Lean+ and/or Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools
- More than 3 years of experience developing and executing strategies to meet organization objectives
- More than 3 years of experience implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements
- More than 1 year of experience in developing solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovation
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry and/or the military
- Experience managing a Collective Bargaining Unit (CBU) / hourly union-represented workforce
- Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 4 years related work experience).

Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10 of the time.
