Position Summary
Position Summary:
Responsible for the development and execution of strategic spaneting plans to support the business unit’s business plan. Provides direction and recommendations based on factual data relating to products, advertising, spanets, pricing, strategic planning, acquisitions, etc. Broad responsibility and leadership for all business unit spaneting, sales strategies, customer service and new product engineering. Supervises business unit spaneting and engineering teams. This position has Direct Reports.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Identifies technology, growth trends, and forecasts in spanet segments. Identifies and develops new products and opportunities for existing products to meet targeted growth plans in conjunction with engineering and operations.
Coordinates development and implementation of product commercialization, including promotional programs, training programs for field and inside sales and distribution networks.
Communicates with customers and develops strategies and programs to satisfy their requirements.
Manages, trains, and develops team members and evaluates work performance. Applies performance management and leadership techniques to assure positive employee relations.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering is required. MBA is preferred.
Five to seven years of experience in sales, spaneting, or technical field requiring frequent customer interaction; two to four years of the above experience in supervision of spaneting and/or engineering personnel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and written/verbal communication skills. Strong leadership and team building skills.
Domestic and foreign travel as needed, up to 50.
