It is an exciting time to join East Hartford Repair Operations within Commercial Engines Afterspanet Operations at Pratt & Whitney! EHRO is looking to fill a critical senior leadership role: Materials Manager. This position reports directly to the General Manager, EHRO.
What You Will Do:
Manage finished goods inventories in close coordination with operations, engineering and Spares; lead collaboration between PW Spares, Forecasting and Delivery Assurance teams
Lead team of material and vendor analysts. Establish key deliverables for the team, while providing coaching and mentorship for early career employees.
Create & implement key objectives for EHRO including material andon avoidance and inventory optimization.
Foster collaboration between all key EHRO stakeholders including Materials, Operations, Quality, Engineering, Finance, etc.
Manage material and vendor constraints that impact customer commits and delivery plans
Attend daily operations production meetings & GEMBAs, providing material and vendor updates
Support aged WIP & aged FG reduction initiatives
Develop digital tools to increase visibility of vendor performance, material availability and consumables health.
Lead vendor negotiations and drive timely resolution of vendor-related issues. Drive commit integrity with vendors and establish regular communication cadence with key vendors.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of experience in operations, materials management or supply chain in a manufacturing or aerospace environment; or a High School Diploma and 14 years of experience in operations, materials management or supply chain in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
Qualifications We Prefer:
MRO/Afterspanet experience preferred
Strong Supply Chain background preferred
Experience with SAP strongly preferred
High energy, dynamic individual who strives for continuous improvement
Ability to work with all levels of management and communicate effectively with peers, subordinates and third party stakeholders.
Highly motivated individual who enjoys operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and the challenges of process improvement.

This role is:
Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
