Morson Edge is currently looking for an experienced and skilled Mechanical Supervisor to support aircraft maintenance operations on RSAF Typhoon aircraft. This is a key leadership role responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising mechanical maintenance activities while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and airworthiness are consistently achieved.
Pay Rate: 315 per day (LTD)
Location: Saudi Arabia (Taif)
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate, in consultation with the SMU Maintenance Manager, Aircraft Team Leader, and Senior Supervisors, all scheduled mechanical maintenance activities on Typhoon aircraft

Carry out and oversee tasks including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, fault diagnosis, minor rectification, embodiment of modifications, and implementation of STOs and technical instructions

Prioritise tasks effectively in line with operational requirements and programme demands

Identify and escalate any issues that may impact the aircraft maintenance programme
-
Ensure technical quality and airworthiness standards are maintained in accordance with RSAF/DA approved technical publications, M&CA mandates, and SMU Quality Management Systems

Verify that all personnel are appropriately authorised, qualified, and competent for assigned tasks

Conduct independent inspections within trade boundaries

Maintain high standards of attention to detail and workmanship

Optimise planning to minimise overtime requirements
Leadership & Supervision:

Provide appropriate levels of supervision based on team members’ skills and competencies

Address performance issues in a timely and professional manner
-
Manage and support disciplinary matters where required
-
Deputise for the Aircraft Team Leader in their absence

Identify training needs and highlight skill gaps within the team
Operational & Compliance Duties:
-
Ensure adherence to sound maintenance practices and accurate documentation procedures

Maintain housekeeping standards and safe working environments
-
Confirm pre-use checks are completed on all equipment
-
Ensure availability of serviceable and calibrated test equipment, escalating shortages when necessary
-
Raise and monitor demands for replacement parts, identifying critical items that may impact delivery timelines

Complete all required SMU forms, aircraft documentation, and maintenance records accurately

Conduct monthly man-hour analysis to monitor workforce utilisation
-
Investigate and report on technical issues, incidents, and accidents involving aircraft or personnel

Support QA investigations and respond to customer enquiries and complaints
-
Ensure compliance with SMU Quality Systems and RSAF technical publications
-
Maintain validity of all required authorisations and complete mandated training
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Completion of a recognised aircraft engineering trade apprenticeship
-
NVQ/C&G Level 3 in a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent recognised qualification acceptable to M&CA, or Part 66 License (current or lapsed)

Minimum of 10 years post-qualification practical experience within an operational flying aircraft environment, or at least 5 years on the same aircraft type

At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role within aircraft maintenance
