The Adaptive High Pressure Compressor (HPC) Project team is seeking an experienced project engineer to support the team throughout the demonstration and verification phase of the current program. As the HPC validation engineer, you will be responsible for developing and negotiating validation plans, defining risk mitigation plans, supporting engines and rigs build/testing, conducting pre and post-test hardware inspection, and manage government customer reviews and documentation. The candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, motivate others to share the goals and visions of the team, provide Technical Guidance, Empower the Validation team, and be able to effectively communicate to all levels of P&W and the supply base.
What You Will Do
- Manage, Prioritize, & Execute configuration and validation requirements to facilitate CIPT, PSC&V, and Program Office EDP Alignment to meet contractual requirements verification
- Manage TJR, CICR, & EA Documentation and provide validation input to Pedigree and test Readiness Reviews to support Instrumentation Pre-Test, Test, and Teardown Inspection documentation & reporting
- Requirements Manager: Support Cross-Discipline Module Integration and Engineering Technical Requirements Coordination
- Cost Account Manager (CAM) for module-level work packages
- Support EDP PSC&V Technical Meetings includes EIPT, EDSIT, and SIPT as well as support Module Assembly for development and production
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or in a related field and 8+ years prior relevant engineering experience OR
- Advanced Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or in a related field and 5+ years prior relevant engineering experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Experience working in the Aerospace Industry, and jet engines in particular
- Previous gas turbine compressor experience
- Project, Industrial, Validation, Manufacturing and/or Program Management experience
- Working proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, Smartsheets, MS Project or other scheduling software
- Well-developed leadership skills and networking ability
- Experience in Agile Project Management, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience working with Jira software package.
- Thorough understanding of continuous improvement principles (e.g. Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE), Quality Control Process Charts (QCPC) Proficiency in use of program/project management tools (e.g. Systems Applications and Products (SAP), Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Teamcenter).
- Demonstration of skills consistent with the Pratt & Whitney Leadership Operating Model.

Compression Systems Engineering (CSE)
Compression Systems Engineering is responsible for the design, development, and in service support of all fans low-pressure and high-pressure compressors for commercial and military engine models. CSE is responsible for the identification and maturation of new technologies for these products.
Technical disciplines in CSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, and Product Definition.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Option of 5 day/ 40 hour weekly schedule or 9 day/ 80 hour two-week schedule depending on business needs
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
