Northrop Grumman Marine Systems-Cape Canaveral specializes in providing deployed systems support for launching and handling systems for the U. S./UK Navy TRIDENT II (D5) Fleet Ballistic Missile Program. We have a Principal Project Management position open to join our team onsite at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

What youll get to do:

  • Establishes project milestones and monitors adherence to processes and schedules, identifies project risks and manages risk mitigation or solutions.
  • Ensures that contract requirements are met by coordinating project activities with participating functional organizations, vendors, or suppliers which are necessary to meet project requirements.
  • Review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports.
  • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to maintain productivity, quality, and customer goals and objectives.
  • Performs roles and responsibilities related to Control Account Manager (CAM) and Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Acts as a customer contact for project activities, contribute to project status review sessions with internal management and customer to discuss cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Participates in the development of contract proposals and contract modifications.
  • Supports internal and customer meetings including, presentation material templates, collection, and content generation, meeting attendance for on-site integration, action item tracking, and post-meeting follow-up.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5+ years of experience; Master’s degree and minimum 3+ years of experience.
  • Professional and/or military experience background in project management, program management, capture efforts, business management related functions.
  • Working experience of Project Management principles and utilizing them professionally.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Control Account Manager (CAM) principles and/or Earned Value Management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Previous experience with the TRIDENT II Launcher Subsystem and Support Equipment.
  • Experience with DoD contracts and project management
Salary Range: $76,600 - $115,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
