You will be the Prod-Ops Independent Validation Team Lead for the Independent Validation Team (IVT). The IVT is a group of MFC leaders whos charter is to ensure that the ongoing IRAD development projects are correctly positioned to provide production products that meet affordability and producibility goals.



What You Will Be Doing
It will be the responsibility of the Prod-ops IVT Lead to partner with IVT leads from other functional areas to determine if best practices are being utilized. The Prod-ops IVT Lead will also have to partner with the development programs to be able to make accurate assessments of the programs application of best practices. In addition to servicing the IVT monitored development efforts, the Prod-ops IVT Lead will also partner with program development efforts that are being completed on contract.

This position typically requires 14+ years of professional experience with a Bachelors degree or 12+ with a Masters degree.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in an associated discipline or equivalent combination of experience and
education
• Must be a U.S citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance
• Must be willing to travel 25-50 depending on work location.
• 10+ years of Manufacturing or Development experience
• Knowledge of the product design process
• Experience with manufacturing
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing and presentations
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve
technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
• Ability to lead and influence teams across multiple locations
• Ability to act as a liaison between multiple functions including external subcontractors
• Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing and presentations
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve
technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
• Must be a highly motivated self starter capable of determining and prioritizing tasks
• Ability to lead and influence teams across multiple locations

• Previous experience driving producibility into product designs
• Experience with manufacturing automation concepts and implementation 
• Experience with manufacturing simulation / modeling tools
• Experience with advanced manufacturing and materials concepts including additive manufacturing

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
