GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Production Supervisors responsibilities include the management, oversight and execution of various projects, as assigned, in order to complete each project within cost and schedule constraints, while meeting all technical requirements. Must be knowledgeable of DCMA instruction 8210.1 and Naval Aviation Maintenance Practices.
DUTIES
- Provides support by conducting the project management processes of initiate, plan, execute, monitor and closeout for each project
- Provides supervision/management of the activities, staff, and subcontractor staff of an aircraft maintenance facility.
- Facilitate the management of required resources necessary to efficiently execute delivery orders and address resource issues to management
- Develop and document processes required to properly execute assigned projects
- Oversee all assigned design reviews and support bid proposals
- Support development of budget and financial reports
- Perform Earned Value Management System techniques via the program team
- Effectively and routinely communicate project expectations, status and deliverables to team members during project execution
- Facilitate constant and well-coordinated communication with the customer(s) and end-users
- Document and discuss lessons learned at the completion of each phase ensuring cost, schedule and performance are maintained throughout the execution of the contract, as well as coach and develop a matrixed program team
- Support development and distribution of monthly reports and CDRL deliverables as required by the customer
- Develop and grow relationships vital to the successful project execution
- Maintain constant awareness of project budget(s)
- Forecast any potential budgetary issues
- Identifies and recommends objectives and scope of technical projects and communicates goals, scope, approach and schedules to assigned personnel.
- Schedule Technicians to specific work areas and assignments.
- Work with Quality Department for resolution of Quality deficiencies.
- Support and attend program reviews and technical interchange meetings with customers as required
- Direct Interface with DCMA and QARs for all Customer Mandated Inspection evolutions
- Provide all resource requirements to Program Manager.
- Support all PMs with technical input, schedule information and maintenance status.
- Coordinates the efforts of the functional departments, as required, to ensure that the programs are conducted in accordance with the requirements of sales orders and budgets. Interfaces with customers on schedules, meetings, and problems. Keeps the customer informed on the program status.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 15 years experience related to aircraft maintenance and modification
- High School Diploma/Equivalent
- Education and experience in one or more of the following areas of specialization: Management, Aircraft Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Avionics.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
- Must be knowledgeable of DCMA instruction 8210.1 and Naval Aviation Maintenance Practices

- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day

- May be required to lift up to 25 pounds and carry for short distances

- Normally works in an office setting with controlled temperature
