At a Glance
What You’ll DoAs a Lead Project Engineer, you’ll provide technical project leadership from contract through execution, serving as the primary technical point of contact for customers and cross‑functional teams.
You will:
Lead and coordinate engineering activities across multiple organizations, including Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC), Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Field Services
Act as the single technical liaison for customer inquiries, scope changes, and contractual requirements
Drive technical decision‑making that impacts project cost, schedule, and performance
Review contract documentation and translate requirements into actionable engineering deliverables
Support and lead Customer Kickoff Meetings (CKOMs), Design Liaison Meetings (DLMs), and ongoing technical reviews
Manage engineering budgets, schedules, and quarterly Estimate at Completion (EAC) reporting
Evaluate and implement customer-requested changes through formal change management processes
Mitigate technical risks, resolve cross‑functional engineering challenges, and prevent delivery delays
Capture lessons learned and feed continuous improvement back into design and engineering teams
Present project status, risks, and resolution plans to senior leadership
What You’ll BringRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Engineering, Design Engineering, and/or Field Engineering
Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated leadership presence
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment
Willingness to travel approximately 10–15
Preferred QualificationsCustomer‑facing engineering experience
Experience with GTCC / PLM systems
Knowledge of plant system design, manufacturing, assembly, installation, or testing
Demonstrated problem‑solving ability and continuous improvement mindset
Experience working across global or cross‑regional engineering teams

Pay Details: $60.00 per hour
