Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understands the CFRs, Airworthiness Directives, methods, techniques, and practices contained in the applicable manufacturers’ maintenance and alteration documents, and/other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA used by the repair station
- Has the appropriate experience, evidenced by employment history, training, certification or practical tests to perform in the supervisory position assigned.
- Interface with Customers on Quality issues
- Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with external and internal customers to facilitate the successful accomplishment of business objectives
- Monitor, improve, and oversee all QMS quality policies/procedures to achieve and sustain all required certifications
- Maintenance of AS9100 Certifications and assessment interface with 3rd party Registrar
- Develop, maintain and perform internal audits
- Develop and maintain the corrective/preventive action system and ensure follow-up and closure of corrective/preventive action Requests, as well as verification of effectiveness
- Monitor and report status of non-conformities from internal and external audits
- Prepare and present periodic Management Reviews of the Quality System to senior management
- Report and improve all Quality-related KPIs
- Lead Problem Solving events
- Develop, implement, and execute product and process quality plans that assure conformance to all customer and regulatory requirements
- Act as designated liaison for regulatory bodies and accrediting organizations
- Develop and maintain regulatory manuals, documentation and records
- Manage customer, government, regulatory agency, and third-party quality audits
- Develop, maintain and ensure compliance with QMS procedures, work instructions and &34;Best Practices&34; throughout the facility
- Manage, train and mentor of Quality Inspectors, as well as assure inspection and test is planned, effective and efficient in mitigating quality risks
- Select, develop and evaluate quality staff to assure skills align with job expectations

Education and Experience:
- BS/BA degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of technical discipline.
- Minimum five years of professional experience in quality management; in the aerospace industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A comprehensive knowledge of AS 9100 requirements
- Experience with International and Aerospace Quality System Standards regulations, including planning and implementation is critical
- Experience with quality manufacturing system and understanding of specifications, gage certification, capability analysis, data and defect analysis, variance reduction, etc.
- A sound knowledge of the application of Quality Systems
- Familiarity and experience with the application of APQP-D/PFMEA and control plans is required
- Proficient capability with MS Office and Quantum
- Is appropriately certificated under CFR Part 65
- Has a minimum of eighteen (18) months of practical experience in procedures, practices, inspection methods, materials, tools, machine tools and equipment generally used in the work for which this repair station is rated
