Who are we looking for?
As a Ramp Process Improvement Supervisor, you are a key member of the BRU Ramp Operations team. You ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality ramp operations by supervising and evaluating both internal processes and the performance of handling agents. You act as the go-to person for operational ramp topics, driving continuous improvement while safeguarding on-time performance and operational excellence.
Main tasks & responsibilities
- Monitor daily ramp operations, ensuring schedules and performance targets are met.
- Initiate and manage corrective actions to prevent service degradation and secure punctuality.
- Analyse delays, incidents, and service failures in real time; decide and communicate mitigating actions to minimize operational impact.
- Troubleshoot and act swiftly in complex situations, ensuring transparent two-way communication across all layers of staff.
- Guarantee continuity during irregular operations (e.g., industrial action, severe weather) by coordinating volunteers.
- Perform quality control checks based on safety and operational procedures.
- Gather and follow up on service-level data (turnaround management, baggage handling, de-icing, etc.).
- Represent Brussels Airlines in meetings with handling partners, reinforcing strong partnerships.
- Draft detailed, impartial reports on irregularities and propose process improvements.
- Observe, initiate, and follow up improvement opportunities, setting priorities and deploying action plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with airport users, authorities, and stakeholders.
- Coach external counterparts to ensure consistent quality across all ramp-related processes.
Your profile

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory airline operations role.
- Fluent in English, Dutch, and French.
- Profound knowledge of airport working practices, operational process flows, aircraft loading regulations, and weight & balance.
- Valid driving license (B).
Considered a plus:
- Knowledge of Altea FM and CM.
- Familiarity with Brussels Airport BRS system.
