Join Our Team as a Regional Procurement Manager in Belgium!

Are you a passionate procurement professional eager to work in the aviation industry and collaborate within a premier group of airline carriers? We are seeking a dedicated Regional Procurement Manager to join our team and be part of the Lufthansa Group Procurement function to drive procurement excellence in Belgium!

Key Responsibilities:

Tasks

Regional Procurement

  • Lead and practice category management for those products/ services where optimal procurement is performed at regional or country level, not limited to, facility services, vehicles, catering, security services and equipment, station services and equipment, lounges and baggage delivery, external resources.
  • Defining and implementing the regional category specific strategy for the categories of “Regional Procurement Belgium” and subsequently taking category specific strategic decisions.
  • Contributing to the achievement of the LHG target setting and strategy implementation.
  • Leading of all procurement activities of strategic and tactical sourcing within the defined framework for the categories of ”Regional Procurement Belgium”.
  • Leveraging the groups buying power for the categories of “Regional Procurement Belgium” to ensure competitive prices and conditions.
  • Exploiting of supplier innovations to improve product development and customer satisfaction.
  • Driving the selection and management of LHGs supply base for the categories of “Regional Procurement Belgium”  to meet operational and strategic requirements via professional Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
  • Establishing efficient and stable supply chains for the group companies to ensure supply chain resilience and business continuity while meeting the business requirements of the demand organizations and all group business units.
  • Strategic purchasing for global categories for transactions below 100k delegated from GCM.
  • Secure sustainability (ESG) within the area of responsibility, i.e. target setting, measuring and driving the organization to meet the target. Ensure supplier compliance to CSR strategy of the SN/Lufthansa Group.

SPOC for LH Group Procurement and Global Cluster Managers in Belgium and  Brussels Airlines

  • Ensure consistent, effective applications of group procurement guidelines.
  • Ensuring compliance through correct application of processes, tools.
  • Configuring Lufthansa Group procurement targets to business units in Belgium.

Support to and Deputize the Head of Procurement when required

  • Active participation in, and commitment to, the implementation of change and organizational development initiatives and contribute to the development, leadership and governance of the Procurement department.
  • Makes decisions regarding supplier selections, claims, contract approvals, decisions affecting operational and financial results.
  • Act as duly authorized representative as per Power of Attorney for transactions related to purchase of goods and services.

 

Your profile

  • Higher education in business administration, finance (supply chain), or engineering.
  • Proven experience (+5 years) in procurement management, ideally within a regional or multinational context.
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier management abilities.
  • Team player with experience engaging with middle and top management.
