Job Description:

The Regional Strategy & Business Improvement Manager - Americas is responsible for maximising the performance of assigned business units by working closely with the relevant stakeholders, leading business process improvements, projects and initiatives across the region that focus on supporting One dnata and regional strategies.




In this role, you will:



  • Continually review both the strategic and operational practices and processes, identifying more innovative, efficient, practical, and productive ways of conducting the business, including but not limited to resource/equipment planning, financial analysis, long-term planning, operations, and other related issues. Formulate and maintain the strategic long-term plan/forecast for the Americas region.

  • Facilitate business unit leadership teams to identify and develop annual improvement plans consistent with and in support of the strategic plan and business operating plan.

  • Advise Executive leaders of productivity and process improvement opportunities providing operational and strategic business advice to influence internal buy-in.

  • Balance short and long-term considerations when providing support to the evaluation of new business opportunities, including operational audits and business analysis of potential investments.

  • Manage/oversee projects to drive improvement in process metrics, business growth and/or service delivery standards. Lead the programme office (PMO) and set the standards for implementation of all projects across dnata Americas Airport Operations.

  • Provide high level manpower planning support in preparation of plans to support the annual budget process. Ensure that the plan is implemented and routinely monitored (budget vs. actual). 

  • Provide business analysis of financial and operational trends and information across the region for key business decisions and recommendations.

  • Keep abreast of industry standards and initiate trials and site visits for benchmarking. Define, and propose all relevant IT system requirements/enhancement for dnata Americas, resource planning units, ensuring maximum integration amongst the existing systems, and eliminating any duplication.

  • Drive the dnata Vision, Mission and Values in the business and models the behaviours and intent of the VMV’s in all people practices. Ensure a collaborative approach with other dnata business units within Airport Operations.




Job Requirements:

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Management/ Business Administration. 

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Experience of working at Senior Management level.

  • Knowledge of manpower planning principles preferably with application in an organisation with large manpower bases.

  • Experience with trending & forecasting, analytics, test scenario generation and sensitivity analysis.

  • Experience working in a major airline or ground handling company
