Deputy Quality Manager

Draken is searching for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to maintain F-16 A/B models at the Romanian Air Force (RoAF) F-16 Training Center at the 86th Air Base, near Borcea, Romania.  These aircraft will be used to train RoAF pilots.

Responsibilities

  • Performs aircraft and equipment technical inspections relating to systems structures, components, operational functions and other areas for compliance to stated requirements.
  • Ensures processes and functions adhere to safety requirements
  • Performs analysis of data for performance trends and reporting purposes.
  • Performs evaluations of various processes for compliance, effectivity and efficiency
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities
  • Provides written response to corrective action requests from customers
  • Assists in ensuring compliance with contractual requirements
  • Assists with the development and implementation of QA policies and procedures including supplemental work instructions
  • Assists with root cause analysis of nonconformance, non-conforming products and other discrepancies to facilitate lasting corrective actions
  • Assists with scheduling and execution of system, process and product audits
  • Assists with review of technical publications, standards, manuals, etc. for accuracy, interpretation, applicability, and changes
Job Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of quality experience in aerospace industry; working experience in aircraft maintenance and inspection procedures
  • Experience as an aircraft mechanic with an A&P certification plus at least 2 years of quality inspection experience; fighter aircraft preferred
  • Working knowledge of DCMA8210-1C “contractor’s flight and ground operations”
  • Ability to use inspection devices and perform routine inspections; ability to read drawings and specs
  • Ability to perform comprehensive record research for compliance and other statutory entries
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in organization
  • Able to read and write English; solve routine and complex problems
  • Ability to use computer
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk throughout the job site
  • Must be able to climb on ramps or ladders or work stands
  • Working environment subject to varying levels of noise and extreme temperatures
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
