We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell V-280 Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA), part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, and Bells High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.

Senior Architect - FLRAA Program
Bell is seeking a Senior Architect to join the Future Long Range Assault Aircraft reporting to the Chief Engineer for Mission Systems and Avionics. The individual will support the development of Bell’s next generation vertical lift system for the US Army.
They will be responsible for providing thought leadership on operations analysis, modular open system approach, and system validation to the program through the design, verification, and sustainment life cycle.
The individual will lead Bell’s integration of a broad systems integration approach towards design and verification for major vertical lift programs.
What you’ll be doing as a Senior Manager, IPT Engineering:

Evaluate mission effectiveness of products in a System of Systems environment and design simulations to study impacts of different mission system and vehicle architectures

Maintain involvement with architecture implementation through design, integration, and flight test.

Conduct architecture trades/analyses and create model-based architecture artifacts. Span of architecture includes command and control, communication, navigation systems, sensing, effects, display interactions, general mission computing, and emphasizes digital backbone development, and may also be applied to vehicle-level and fleet-level architectures and requirements.

Lead/support all phases of development from objective architecture, system architecture, system development and integration testing.

Lead development of architectures and related artifacts utilizing SysML

Lead system trades, modeling, simulation, and analysis to assess architecture alternatives for delivering a customer mission effect, data or capability

Creation of system performance specifications, interface control documents, and test plans/procedures

Understand and communicate operational mission capabilities, use cases, and requirements to engineering teams
