This is a hybrid role (combination of in-office and remote work) that requires weekly onsite presence at our Windsor Locks, CT site.

What You Will Do:

  • Establish key elements of Supply Chain plans in terms of operations, specific interventions, related costs and timelines, in line with organizational strategy.

  • Develop new systems and processes in support of Supply Chain strategy.

  • Lead, engages and collaborate with other functions and channel partners, including suppliers, intermediaries, third party service providers, and customers in support of strategic goals.

  • Direct implementation of large-scale supply chain management related programs and processes.

  • Manage Key Supplier accounts ensuring strong working relationships, escalation of critical issues and exploration of new business opportunities.

  • Be the key escalation point for critical performance, contractual and commercial issues.

  • Work with the Afterspanet Program Management team to develop supplier afterspanet support agreement templates covering all customer requirements.

  • Support MRO sites contractual needs when requested.

  • Negotiate supplier contracts supporting Collins Power and Controls afterspanet objectives and Collins overall supply chain management strategy.

  • Manage adherence to import, export, and excise regulation as per compliance.

  • Maintain the interaction between specific Value Streams and Functional stakeholders and the supply base.

  • Act as a voting member of the Executive Sourcing Board.

  • Drive Entry into Service activities with select suppliers on new programs working closely with cross-functional teams on key deliverables.

  • Manage elements of MRO make to buy transitions for Power & Controls sites in support of footprint optimization and/or product rationalization initiatives.

  • Supplier Management skills growth: Improve skills in supplier negotiation, performance assessment and management, and relationship building.

  • Exposure to Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Gain exposure to RTX’s CORE operating system and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Supply Chain management, Operations and/or afterspanet experience within a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in Contract management inclusive of drafting agreements, negotiating contracts and approval processes.

  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system experience.

  • CPM/CPIM education or experience preferred.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
