Senior Manager - B2B Marketing and Events
Job Description:

A. Job Purpose

Responsible for developing and executing targeted B2B spaneting strategies (for passengers and cargo business) to enhance Air India and Air India Express business relationships and penetration in the Indian spanet.

Drive brand awareness and revenue growth through strategic partnerships and direct business client engagement.

 

B. Key Accountabilities

B2B Marketing Strategy Development

  • Design and implement comprehensive B2B spaneting strategies tailored to the Indian spanet, aligning with Air India and Air India Express overall sales targets and business objectives.
  • Develop and manage annual/quarterly/monthly B2B spaneting plans, including budgeting and resource allocation.

Market Research and Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth spanet research to identify key business customer segments and understand the competitive landscape in India.
  • Utilize insights to tailor spaneting approaches that effectively target potential business clients and industries.

Campaign Management and Execution

  • Lead the development of integrated B2B spaneting campaigns that effectively communicate the value of Air India and Air India Express offerings to businesses and corporate clients.
  • Coordinate with the creative team to develop impactful spaneting materials tailored for B2B audiences, including presentations, brochures, and digital content.

Partnership Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, industry partners, and stakeholders within the Indian business community.

Identify and leverage co-spaneting opportunities with partners such as business travel managers, corporate travel agencies, and industry associations

Performance Tracking and Reporting

  • Establish metrics and tracking mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of B2B spaneting campaigns, focusing on ROI, customer acquisition, and spanet penetration.
  • Regularly analyze performance data and generate reports to provide insights and recommendations for enhancing B2B spaneting strategies.

The scope of this role has been extended to cover responsibilities across AI & IX. The job holder will be expected to contribute to and support initiatives, processes, and deliverables that span both companies. This includes collaboration with cross-functional teams, alignment with shared operational goals, and execution of tasks that impact both organizational structures.

All listed responsibilities, expectations, and performance metrics are applicable to both organizations, and the role requires a holistic understanding of the integrated operational framework.

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.


Skills/Qualities Required

Strong expertise in B2B spaneting, with a deep understanding of the Indian business environment and corporate travel sector.

Excellent strategic planning and campaign management skills, with the ability to lead a team towards achieving business spaneting goals.

Proficient in relationship management and partnership development

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Collaborate closely with the Sales teams to align B2B spaneting activities with sales objectives and provide spaneting support tailored to business clients.

  Educational and Experience Requirements

 

Minimum Education requirements

  • Master’s/MBA/PGDM/PGP in Marketing or a related field

Experience

Desired

  • 6-8 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing, preferably managing programs pertaining to field spaneting
  • 8+ years’ experience in sales and spaneting, with a significant focus on B2B spaneting, preferably within the aviation or travel industry.
  • Demonstrated success in managing B2B spaneting programs and strategic partnerships
