Job Description

The position is the linkage between the Global Operations sites and the value stream SIOP teams in Power & Control. They are responsible for coordinating and understanding the demand for assigned businesses and channels ensuring that it is visible, planned and delivering customer satisfaction. The SIOP specialist will work with the associated Supply Planners and the manufacturing plants to improve On-Time delivery, inventory, and SIOP maturity.

Primary responsibilities:

• Facilitate the communication of supply and demand plans and changes between internal customers and supplying plants
• Coordinate with customer on agreed rate to satisfy demand from supply plants
• Support the MPS to COS alignment process
• Work with SBU and supply chain management to improve forecast accuracy and demand stability
• Develop and analyze scenarios where supply and/or demand changes may affect the supplying plants ability to meet SBU demand
• Assist in risk assessment and mitigation activities
• Address demand related queries and issues in a timely manner
• Attend and present in the monthly demand and supply SIOP reviews with all customers as required
• Drive improvements to SIOP maturity within the GOS sites to align with Collins standards
  Identify areas of improvements and recommend action plans

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience or Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience. In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, operations, or other related degree
• SAP experience
• Experience in operations planning/scheduling, or SIOP related functional area
• APICS Certification (CPIM, CSCP)Experience with Kinaxis Rapid Response
