Responsibilities
The Position:
Responsible for leading the Talent Management Center of Excellence (COE) including the leadership coaching function and driving the strategic ownership of the Talent Management (TM) roadmap. Talent management covers a wide range of activities designed to develop, engage, and retain key leadership talent across the organization. Identify, design, and implement learning, talent development and OD programs that improve the competencies, knowledge, and skill base of current employees. Develop and lead appropriate organizational change management initiatives. Analyze current systems and processes and implement innovative and cost-effective solutions to increase organizational effectiveness. Conduct organizational and training needs assessments, coach and develop internal talent. Oversee implementation and management of talent management systems. Manage complex operational responsibilities to deliver organization wide efforts and programs. Influence range of stakeholders, leaders and employees creating short and medium to long-term value for PAC.
Talent Development
- Provide diverse learning and development experiences, offering world-class programs that accelerate high-potential talent and ensure a consistent leadership pipeline; consulting and coaching employees and Managers on development issues; and defining, spaneting, and communicating a competency-based core curriculum. Ensure competency model includes core values of the business, provides a foundation for the career development program and other initiatives (e.g., performance management, succession management, leadership development, etc.
- Manage an internal coaching function, providing leadership coaching to senior leaders and high-potential employees.
- Manage the leadership succession planning process
- Identify gaps in the talent pipeline
- Ensure plans are in place to address talent gaps
- Track development plans for key talent
- Coach and build management’s ability in the organization review process to ensure leadership success for:
- Assessing and identifying key leadership
- Establishing development plans
- Managing talent at risk of loss
- Ensuring readiness for next likely assignments
- Develop functional and management career paths and communicate to the organization
- Conduct new manager assimilations with key leaders
- Implement mentoring programs for key leadership; personally, provide coaching to key leaders
- Develop training needs assessment for business unit, make vs. buy decisions on learning programs, course design and development of programs, and overall program management. Support job rotation program to transfer knowledge across countries, geographies, and businesses.
- Culture - support the development of communication strategies and culture initiatives
- Facilitate focus teams to address employee feedback and help the organization analyze and develop action plans to address improvements
- Develop common process for management and employee onboarding in line with the PAC culture and BBPs
- Select and monitor internal and external trainers and vendors to deliver consistent training programs and services globally.
- Oversee the Company’s Learning Management System (LMS) (i.e., creates strategic plan for LMS, develops and manages budget, plans for instructional design support, etc.).
Talent Management
- Drive development and execution of strategies for talent management programs
- Support components of HR business strategy and planning for the TM COE business plan and roadmap.
- Partner with HR Analytics to develop and leverage tools, processes, analytics, and dashboards to analyze/report on and support Talent Management practices Steward scorecards and analytics to inform the talent management strategy, program, and process improvements.
- Create plans for deployment of global programs in support of regional talent priorities and identified key talent / high potential development
- Act as an advisor and subject matter expert in TM for PAC and other COEs, including across other Panasonic companies.
- Develop and deliver global Talent Management and Organization Effectiveness programs and tools to support the business needs by building relationships with and partnerships with internal and external partners ( e.g. vendors, COE’s and HRBPs and other Panasonic companies
- Partner with Communications teams to develop and execute communications on various topics (training programs, management skills / best practices coaching programs, etc.)
- Lead the execution of core processes across the Talent Management portfolio including performance management, succession management, and employee engagement survey.
- Build HR capability and increase consistency in utilization and application of global talent processes
- Participate in project teams for corporate wide projects / initiatives where appropriate.
- Partner closely with HRIS on enhancements and execution of talent information, systems, and tools.
Supervisory & Budget
- Attract, recruit, supervise assign projects to, evaluate and manage team to maintain optimum performance of job duties.
- Provide hands-on mentoring, coaching and guidance of Talent Management Team and employees.
- Manage department budget.
The salary wage range of $136,000 - $227,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.

- Proven experience as a certified leadership coach, having successfully coached senior leaders and high-potential employees.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and then build credibility with and gain commitment from key stakeholders
- Experience working in a global organization where interaction across functions, regions and business units is key to success
- Experience with design and developing curriculum
- Proven ability to successfully project manage multiple programs, processes, and projects simultaneously
- Strong facilitation skills
- Strong leadership, consulting, and change management skills
- Strong system acumen, with experience in partnering with HRIS to enable talent technology.
- Data-driven decision-maker with experience leveraging AI to drive talent analytics and inform strategic talent planning
- Proficient with MS Office, HR Information Systems (i.e.: Workday), and Learning Management Systems (or related talent technology)
- Proficient in data analytics and HR Metrics.
Education/Experience Requirements
- 8+ years Talent Management experience
- 3 years of staff managerial experience.
- Master’s or an advanced university degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational
