Roles and Responsibilities:
Manage materials plan, processes, and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs based on production and forecast schedules. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and Finance KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.
This role will manage salaried and hourly employees in Shipping & Receiving, Materials Crib, and Farmout Operations. Contributes towards strategy and policy development to ensure delivery within area of responsibility. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has an understanding of technology and NPI processes relevant to the role.
Has in-depth knowledge of how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competitive landscape and factors that impact cost.
Ability to assess current state of materials space (multi-million-dollar book of spend), identify improvement opportunities and define a strategy/desired future state using lean tools and processes in line with FLIGHT DECK standards.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and 5+ years of sourcing contract management experience (or a minimum high school diploma / GED with an additional 4+ years of sourcing contract management experience).
5+ years of team leadership experience.
