The role:
Station Maintenance Manager
TO LEAD A STATION OR GROUP OF STATIONS WITHIN THE AMM ACCOUNTABILITY
What you’ll do:
- Define and lead the strategic plan for the region identifying growth and succession planning.
- Manage the continuous development and improvement of Line maintenance working practices and facilities to improve productivity and financial performance.
- Manage Agency and 3rd Party Customer relationships.
- Ensure BA and Customer Line Maintenance operations for the Station/Area are delivered to BA, Customer, EASA, CAA or National Aviation Authority Compliance Standards.
- Manage the Station to deliver operational, safety, quality and financial targets. These will be measured and be part of an annual performance review.
- Defining and leading the strategic plan for the station or region identifying growth and succession planning.
- Manage the continuous development and improvement of Line maintenance working practices and facilities to improve productivity and financial performance.
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
- Significant and varied experience of managing an aircraft maintenance environment.
- Experience of working within the scope of legal regulations and company requirements.
- Extensive Business awareness and understanding of business change processes.
- Management and leadership of line engineers and support staff.
- Experience in managing change in an aircraft maintenance environment.
- Understands the BA business and operation and is able to develop plans appropriate to deliver against the business requirement.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to explain lead and deliver change.
- Self-aware and leads by example. Maintains focus and momentum to optimize performance. Recognizes, celebrates, and rewards high performance and manages under performance. Encourages continuous improvement and innovation.
Your experience:
- Ability to communicate effectively with Flight Crew, Cabin crew and departments in at London-Heathrow (LHR) or Customer Airline bases.
- UK CAA or FAA A&P License (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years Line Maintenance related experience within the Aircraft Maintenance Industry with a proven Performance Record.
- Ability to hold an airport restricted zone
