Tasks

The Station Manager IAD is accountable for but not limited to:

  • Ensure premium customer relationships, assign customer care ambassadors, and uphold service standards
  • Oversee operational performance, implement local procedures, and ensure on-time performance
  • Manage quality, safety, and provider performance, ensuring compliance with SLAs and KPIs
  • Handle station administration, budget planning, contract negotiations, and audits
  • Ensure safety, security, and emergency response compliance, including SMS and SERP
  • Lead and develop personnel, oversee training, and ensure competency standards
  • Maintain communication with authorities, partners, and customers, managing complaints and reporting

 

* Perform other tasks and/or projects, as assigned

Requirements

To thrive in this role, we value a combination of the following requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree required (or 5-7 years of Ground Operations experience)
  • 3-5 years of Ground Operations experience and leadership experience required
  • Fluency in English required; German language is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Lufthansa operator specifics, other airlines, service partners, and airport procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office and airline-specific software
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, adaptability, and customer orientation
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage conflict, and drive productivity
  • Must have a valid U.S. work permit, valid driver’s license, and pass assessment screening
  • Willingness to travel, work shifts/overtime, and handle physical demands
