Job Description:

We are seeking a Station Manager to lead and oversee all aircraft maintenance operations at our Honolulu station. This hands-on role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant maintenance while maintaining high standards for quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

 

The Station Manager will supervise maintenance staff, coordinate technical operations, and serve as the primary point of contact for airline customers, ensuring their maintenance needs are met and expectations exceeded.


Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor maintenance staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Oversee all daily aircraft maintenance operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate directly with airline customers regarding maintenance schedules, requirements, and service updates.
  • Ensure all personnel have proper airport/base access credentials, including those required to enter controlled-access areas for aircraft maintenance.
  • Monitor maintenance performance and implement process improvements as needed.
  • Ensure FAA regulations, airline requirements, and company policies are fully met.
  • Handle escalated maintenance or customer issues related to aircraft readiness.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
  • Participate in planning and implementing operational policies and procedures for maintenance activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, including customer-facing experience.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, technical environment.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
  • Ability to work under stressful situations and tight time constraints.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain airport/base security credentials required to perform maintenance in controlled-access areas (includes standard background check and verification).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License — technical expertise in aircraft maintenance strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing maintenance operations at a commercial airline station or aviation service provider.
  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation maintenance, Aeronautical Engineering, or related field.

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Moderate to heavy physical activity; may occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds (with assistance) and frequently lift/move 50–70 pounds.
  • Required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and occasionally climb.
  • Work may be outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Noise levels vary; hearing protection provided when necessary.
  • Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.

Skills / Competencies:

 

  • Language Skills: Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals; write reports and correspondence; speak effectively with employees and customers.
  • Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Abilities: Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form; solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to adapt to changing priorities.
