Arconic is currently in search of Storeroom Supervisor to join our Procurement Team based out of Davenport, IA.

Primary Responsibilities
- Accountable for the day-to-day management of materials planning, inventory control of MRO materials, and all maintenance/routine/operations supplies to prevent any production downtime and ensure facility maintenance.
- Assist daily with monitoring vendor managed inventory programs, helping material handlers with receiving paperwork issues, resolving inventory discrepancies, freight claim issues, superb housekeeping of the storeroom, returns of materials to stores by plant personnel, etc.
- Utilization of Oracle and related systems for Receiving, Stores management and continuous improvement of new item set ups, and revisions/deletions of targeted obsolete or slow-moving material.
- Responsible to assist in the required testing of stores systems and processes when Arconic moves through upgraded versions of Oracle. Responsible to ensure all work instructions, SOP’s and safety/environmental requirements are followed by storeroom personnel. Actively participate in Human Performance activities to identify High Risk Tasks.
- Responsible to assist in the training/coaching of plant users of storeroom systems. Key Objectives - Collaborate with centralized shared service teams such as: Buy/Pay, MDM, etc.
- Support plant financial goals and Arconic Business System practices by working diligently with suppliers and users to reduce costs and eliminate waste.
- Works with plant and corporate resources when updates to items in the Oracle system are required (such a lead time, FLM’s and MOQ’s). Makes sure to document all changes for inventory items in Oracle with item attachments.
- Ensure Best Practice Procurement/Inventory Control are in place, including min/max replenishment program, optimizing inventory, managing the rebuild item availability, storeroom security, annual inventory checks and documentation. Good understanding of inventory standard work (lead times, safety stock, min/max stocking levels, etc.).
- Assist Materials Manager with Procurement audit and Sarbanes-Oxley Act objectives related to the storeroom.
Basic Qualifications
- Highschool Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- 3 years of experience managing inventory/materials with large industrial warehouse/storeroom experience for a major manufacturing unit(s)
- 3 years of experience with inventory management and/or ERP systems
- 3 years of supervisory experience
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates or bachelors degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain, Logistics or Materials Management
- Expert knowledge of Oracle inventory and ERP systems
- Supervising experience in a Union environment
- 5 years of experience managing inventory/materials with large industrial warehouse/storeroom experience for a major manufacturing unit(s)
