Job Description:

The Tool-Room Supervisor is responsible for support of highly sensitive HQ USAF operational plans and safe air transportation for Cabinet Members, senior military leaders, and visiting foreign dignitaries.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • The Tool-Room Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of the CTK, -21, and HAZMAT programs along with vehicle fleet management.  
  • Manages all aspects of the tool room stocking, controls and tool inventories.
  • Manages the issuing of tools, T.O’s, test equipment, test measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) and support equipment from the tool room.
  • Manages the Custodian Authorization/Custody Receipt Listing (CA/CRL).
  • Manages the Hazardous Waste Management Program and spill response equipment.
  • Ensures that we are following all Government policies and procedures to contain and turn in hazardous waste.
  • Manages the ordering of all authorized chemicals and oils through the Hazmat Pharmacy.
  • Manages the -21 program as agreed upon and listed on the AF Form 2692.
  • Manages the Reconciliation of shortages.
  • Manages the ordering of replacement assets as necessary.
  • Provides program status briefings when required to the Director of Maintenance, Aircraft Branch Manager or Flightline Supervisor. 
  • May conduct flight line and hangar foreign object damage prevention walks and housekeeping. 
  • May meet with Customers and Company Senior Leadership as required.
  • Perform other qualified duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Education:

  • Must have a High School Education or GED.
  • Managerial experience preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of applicable Government documents, directives, and technical orders is desired but not required.
  • Familiarity with FED Log system is desired but not required.
  • Proficient in the use of computers.
  • Working knowledge of inventory and inventory control procedures is required.
  • Knowledge of the Standard Base Supply System, repair cycle system is desired but not required.
  • Knowledge of MIS/SBSS interface or related computer experience is desired but not required.
  • Must have a working knowledge of 781 series forms desired but not required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a United States Secret security clearance.
  • Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain/maintain US Secret Security Clearance.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

  • Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces up to three (3) hours per day and sit for up to five (5) hours per day.
  • May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. to the height of 4 feet and up to 20 lbs. to a height of 7 feet.
  • May be required to carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • On occasion must be able to lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp, or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
  • Must be able to routinely climb / descend stairs.
  • Travel As dictated by business necessity.
