The Warehouse Lead will oversee day-to-day logistics, inventory management, and material staging for maritime and expeditionary system projects (CVN-74, CVN-75, and SeaWatch). This role reports to the Logistics Lead and is responsible for ensuring technical components are ready for shipboard installation.
Responsibilities
Inventory Control: Manage receipt, storage, and issuance of high-value electronic and mechanical components for naval modernization.
Logistics Coordination: Work directly with the Program Manager and Logistics Lead to stage materials for scheduled shipboard work at NNSY and Norfolk.
Team Leadership: Supervise warehouse staff and laborers to ensure safety and efficiency in all material movements.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records in the inventory management system and provide proactive updates on supply chain delays.
Fleet Support: Coordinate deliveries to shipyards (Suffolk, Hampton, and Newport News) to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of warehouse or logistics experience.
- Experience with government property management and inventory software.
Proven ability to lead a small team and manage multiple shifting priorities.
Strong communication skills and a "solutions-oriented" approach to logistical obstacles.
- Ability to pass a background check for base access and the ability to drive company vehicle for material deliveries.
Clearance: Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust.
