Morson Talent are recruiting multiple Skilled CNC Machinists for our Aerospace and Defence client based in Filton, Bristol.
Job Title: Skilled Machinist
Duration: 6 months ongoing contract
Standard Hours: 36 per week averaged
Shift Pattern: 3 on 4 off Nights
Rate: 26.77 – Sunday to Friday overtime 30.65 Down day Saturday overtime 34.14 (PER HOUR)
Other working hours information: 3 on 4 Off Nights – Shifts rotate every 17 weeks between Sunday to Tuesday Night or Weds to Friday Nights – hours are 7pm to 7am 12 hours paid (half hour lunch break paid)
Role Purpose
To operate as a multi-skilled, flexible worker to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency. Tasks will be undertaken and worked through the use of:
- Machining of parts aircraft parts to drawing specification
- Checking of parts using conventional equipment including height gauges
- Micrometres, vernier, callipers to meet required specification
- Working to engineering drawings
- Manufacturing to defined high tolerances
- Manually or mechanically move components to ensure the effective flow of production within the cell
- Deburring for onward safe handling only
- 3 and 4 Axis experience essential; 5 Axis experience desired
A recognised machining indentured apprenticeship is required and ideally have previous manufacturing experience in a factory environment – NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3
