Pay Rate: $35 - $48/hr, based on experience Shift: 1st Shift 6am-2:30pm (Monday–Friday)
Position SummaryThe CNC Programmer plays a critical role in developing, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs to produce aerospace fasteners and precision components. This position requires a strong background in CNC programming, machining processes, and collaboration with engineering and production teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and on time delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesCNC Programming & SetupDevelop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment using engineering drawings and specifications.
Program using G code and M code to achieve precise, repeatable results.
Create programs that optimize cycle times, machine utilization, and part quality.
Engineering & Production CollaborationPartner with engineering, production managers, and machine operators to meet customer requirements.
Analyze blueprints, GD&T, technical drawings, and 3D models to determine efficient programming strategies.
Troubleshoot programming challenges and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Process Optimization & EfficiencyContinuously evaluate and improve CNC programs to reduce waste, improve throughput, and enhance quality.
Adjust programming and tooling based on feedback from inspections and machine performance.
Support initiatives that reduce downtime and improve production flow.
Quality Control & Inspection SupportEnsure programmed parts conform to engineering and customer specifications.
Collaborate with Quality to implement inspection methods and checks.
Review and approve CNC setups prior to production runs.
Machine Setup & Operator SupportAssist with tooling selection, fixture setup, and machine calibration.
Support operators during setup and production troubleshooting.
Maintain organized and well documented CNC program libraries.
Safety, Compliance & DocumentationFollow all safety procedures and promote a safety first culture.
Ensure CNC processes comply with aerospace, regulatory, and company standards.
Maintain detailed records of programs, tooling, machine settings, and revisions.
QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong proficiency with G code and M code programming.
Experience programming CNC mills and lathes.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and fixturing.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
PreferredAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Machining, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
Experience in fastener, aerospace, or precision machining industries.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Gibbs CAM, or similar).
Knowledge of aerospace quality standards such as AS9100.
Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
