Job Title: Composite Technician
Job DescriptionAs a Composite Technician, you will be responsible for the precise layup of composite details and assemblies, guided by blueprints, engineering specifications, and instructions. You will prepare molds and tools for the layup process, ensuring proper application of sealants and release agents, and cut various composite materials to meet job requirements. Your role will include operating composite oven processing and recording equipment, documenting materials for traceability, and demolding parts after processing. You will also perform miscellaneous duties as required.
Responsibilities
- Layup of composite details and assemblies using blueprints, engineering, written or verbal instructions.
- Preparation of molds and tools for layup process, including application of sealants and release agents.
- Cutting different composite materials to meet job requirements.
- Operation of composite oven processing and recording equipment.
- Documenting composite materials for traceability.
- Demolding parts after processing.
- Perform various other miscellaneous duties and job positions as required.
Essential Skills- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Familiarity with shop and hand tools.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to follow process specifications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 to 3 years of composite layup experience.

Work Environment
This role is set in an indoor manufacturing environment with exposure to adhesives, resins, and particulates. Personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, and respirators are required when necessary. The position may involve lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing repetitive motions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
