Position Details
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Type: Full-Time; Consultant (12 Months)
Location: Simpsonville, SC 29681
Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift (8 AM – 5 PM)
Pay Rate: $69.44/hour
What You’ll Do
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
Develop and troubleshoot PLC hardware/software issues.
Lead new programs from concept through production to meet cost, delivery, and quality requirements.
Identify and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment for efficient production.
Partner with operations to drive efficiency and eliminate waste.
Ensure a safe, ergonomic, and sustainable work environment.
Design and integrate new equipment to boost productivity and safety.
Document and manage process changes while supporting change management.
Apply Lean principles (5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Kanban, etc.) to streamline manufacturing.
Collaborate across teams to resolve issues using root cause problem-solving methods.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen overall business performance.
Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience with PLC hardware/software troubleshooting.
Strong background in leading new product/program introductions.
Knowledge of tools, equipment, and fixture development for manufacturing.
Proven ability to drive efficiency and eliminate waste in production.
Solid understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and practices.
Strong documentation and change management skills.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations, design, and quality teams.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Military and Aerospace standards, procedures, and regulations.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and document control programs (PDM).
Background in cable and harness assembly manufacturing.
Strong technical writing skills for work instructions.
Experience with new product introduction and product lifecycle processes.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and technical schematics.

Pay Details: $69.44 per hour
