Key Responsibilities
- Focus on Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) and Unit Level assembly.
- Serve as the technical and manufacturing engineering lead for NPI builds, responsible for schedule, cost, quality, and adherence to manufacturing best practices.
- Engage throughout the entire NPI lifecycle—from Bid and Proposal through to execution and transition to full-rate production.
- Actively participate in DFM assessments and manufacturability analyses.
- Use production data to identify and resolve issues.
- Drive systemic root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Escalate quality or performance concerns as necessary.
- Identify training or development needs and raise them appropriately.
- Maintain and report on key Manufacturing Engineering metrics, using them to drive process improvements.
- Support cross-functional teams, including Program Cells and Engineering groups.
Your Skills & Experience
- HND or higher in Manufacturing/Production Engineering or a related field.
- Solid experience with electro-mechanical manufacturing across varied technologies and platforms.
- Strong understanding of electronic and electro-mechanical product design and operation.
- Demonstrated success in improving production program effectiveness and efficiency.
- Advocate for Design for Excellence (DfX) principles.
- Experience leading or contributing to FMEAs, design reviews, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement practices.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Circuit Card Assembly processes.
- Broader knowledge of diverse electro-mechanical manufacturing techniques and platforms.
