JOB SUMMARY:
Lead and train a team to develop a production solution to maximize efficiency. Ensure that the teams manufacturing execution plan is provided to production on time and on budget with good quality. Assign and monitor team member assignments. Responsible for implementing personnel distribution and department strategy. Mentor less experienced team leaders.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Ensuring a quality Industrialization package is provided to production on time and budget
Understand and define manufacturing engineering roles and responsibilities and hold employees accountable for their performance in these roles
Work with management and other departments to achieve goals, objectives, and manage changes
Manage budget and Manufacturing Engineering costs
Mentor and train other employees
Propose and implement process improvements to decrease costs, flow, and specify design improvements
Responsible to ensure all employees are current in required training
Resolve problems and evaluate employees
NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related field. Completed, relevant education from an accredited college or university may be substituted for years of relevant work experience. 1 year of education 2 years of experience.
Minimum of six (6) years of experience in an engineering environment
Proficient in MS Office Suites and/or other design software
Able to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Courses in business or management
VPM or PLM experience
Familiarity with computer database construction
Continuous Process Improvements (LEAN, 5S, VSM, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
Experience writing methodology related to ME functions
Previous documented experience in a supervisory or leadership position.
Experience managing technical projects/complex activities
Project Management experience
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to work at computer terminal/screen for long periods. Must function throughout total facility, including up and down stairs and in and out of aircraft. Cannot be sensitive to manufacturing noise (riveting, drilling, machining, aircraft engines running, etc.). Occasional domestic and international travel may be required and at times on short notice.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this position typically falls between $85,675.00 and $114,429.50 per year. This position is not eligible for overtime under FLSA guidelines. This position may be eligible for shift differential or relocation assistance. Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
