We are currently seeking a Full-Time Aircraft Groomer to join our team at our Vancouver, BC, base.

Reporting directly to the Base Engineer, and indirectly to the Senior Maintenance Manager, the Aircraft Groomer will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our aircraft fleet, as well as the hangar, offices, and facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for employees, visitors, and clients.

Job Description

Responsible for the day-to-day cleaning of aircraft, hangars, offices, and facilities. The job description is broken into two categories below:

Aircrafts

  • Vacuum all areas of the plane (flight deck, galleys, passenger seating areas)

  • Remove trash and debris throughout aircraft

  • Clean and wipe all areas (walls, trays, kitchen area etc.)

  • Ensure closets and cabinets are stocked appropriately

  • Mop and deodorize gallery floors

  • Organize seat pocket pamphlets, wipe down seat belts and trays, meet proper seat appearance guidelines

  • Clean aircraft windows and overhead bins

  • Fully clean and sanitize aircraft lavatory

  • Maintain inventory and stocking supply areas

Hangars/Offices/Facilities

  • Routine cleaning tasks to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of all assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, conference rooms, hangar, and common areas.

  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and/or polish floors as needed, ensuring they are free from dirt, debris, and hazards.

  • Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures.

  • Ensure all restrooms, common rooms and conference rooms are fully stocked with necessary supplies.

  • Empty and clean trash receptacles on a regular basis, ensuring proper waste segregation and disposal.

  • Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and equipment, ensuring a dust-free and polished appearance.

  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, removing fingerprints, smudges, and streaks for a spotless finish.

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas and janitorial closets, keeping cleaning supplies and equipment properly organized and stocked.

  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the Facilities Manager promptly.

  • Follow established safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment by using appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment correctly.

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding health and safety.

Job Requirements & Qualifications
  • Previous experience with industrial cleaning would be an asset

  • Must be able to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel and push and pull for extended periods of time

  • A physical ability to consistently lift up to 50 lbs

  • Must be willing to work independently and follow instructions well

  • Must be able to obtain and retain a RAIC (Restricted Airport Identification Card)

  • Willingness to work outside in adverse weather conditions
