STS Technical Services is hiring an Asphalt Division Manager in Pigeon, Michigan.

This is a full-time, leadership-level role for an experienced asphalt professional ready to oversee daily field operations, manage crews, and support strategic business growth. • Provide leadership and accountability for the division and its team members
• Promote and enforce adherence to the company’s Core Values, Core Focus, and established policies and procedures
• Hold team members accountable, issuing disciplinary action or recognition as appropriate
• Conduct daily training and direction to ensure efficient and effective work performance
• Complete 30- and 90-day evaluations for new hires and conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports

• Maintain clear, consistent communication with the Operations Manager, Sales Team, and direct report team members
• Keep the Operations Manager informed on key updates and performance issues
• Ensure team members receive timely and accurate information necessary to perform their duties
• Coordinate with the Sales Team regarding customer expectations and contract details
• Respond promptly to internal and external inquiries
• Communicate equipment issues to the Fleet and Facility Manager without delay

• Identify and resolve issues within the division as they arise
• Proactively seek assistance when needed to address larger or complex challenges

• Monitor and enforce quality standards across all accounts managed by the division on a daily basis

• Purchase and manage all products and subcontractor services needed for division operations, including but not limited to crack-fill and line striping materials

• Develop and manage crew schedules, adjusting as necessary due to contract changes, weather conditions, or other unforeseen factors
• Manage multiple crews, including asphalt paving, crack-fill, line striping, and truck drivers

• Collaborate with the Sales Team to fully understand contract scopes and work orders
• Ensure customer expectations are understood and met
• Assist with lead qualification and measurement for asphalt projects
• Review all job estimates to ensure accuracy and feasibility

• Identify upsell opportunities and gather information from existing customers to support additional sales efforts
• Relay qualified leads to the Sales Team to initiate proposals and complete contracts

• Actively participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new team members

• Provide hands-on training for new and existing team members in field operations to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency
