We’re more than aviation experts, we’re pioneers. We challenge what’s possible. From breaking the sound barrier to advanced tiltrotor systems. Today, Bell is shaping the future of aviation through specialized engineering. And we want you.
We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bells High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.
SPRINT Build Site Coordinator
The Rapid Prototyping (RP) organization serves Bell’s Advanced Programs (AP) team by transforming their designs into concept demo air vehicles. Concept demo air vehicles include both clean-sheet and existing air vehicle modifications. In addition, the RP organization is responsible for fabrication of risk reduction test articles in support of concept demo air vehicle development. This position will be working on the recently awarded Speed and Runway Independent Technologies (SPRINT) X-plane Demonstrator project.
The SPRINT Build Site Coordinator will serve as the primary build interface between Bell and multiple partner sites tasked with building major airframe items and performing final assembly operations. The Build Site Coordinator will work closely with the RP organization and AP Engineering IPTs to ensure cost, schedule, and performance objectives are effectively communicated, tracked, and achieved for all X-plane demonstrator build content at partner sites.
What you’ll be doing as a SPRINT Build Site Coordinator
- Serve as primary SPRINT build focal at partner build sites within the US; drive effective site level build strategies to yield a best value product
- Drive integrated program build strategy and associated programmatic documentation – Quality Assurance Program Plan, Manufacturing Action Plan, Configuration Management Plan, etc.
- Support design and producibility efforts across the SPRINT build, to include inputs to the program Design Fabrication Specification
- Serve as a key build content contributor to program-level decision making and objectives, with expertise in Bell management systems and in experimental and production processes
- Develop/deploy effective programmatic metrics and supporting data to assess partner build status
- Coordinate all logistics and specialty transportation required for partner site project execution
- Execute long lead material identification, acquisition and delivery to support SPRINT program schedule
- Manage partner traveled work packages to maintain part pedigree and ensure QA traceability
- Define and oversee development of final assembly planning/documentation approaches to maintain adequate configuration control of completed aircraft
