Job Description:

The Calibration Technician will test, troubleshoot, repair and calibrate all physical/dimensional or electronic fixtures, instruments and systems used in testing products. Will perform duties using standard and special test equipment in accordance with prescribed procedures, practices and specifications. Write procedures as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Operate physical/dimensional or electronic test equipment in performing troubleshooting repair duties.
  • Set up test fixtures in accordance with established procedures.
  • Identify and report errors in drawings, schematics, prints, manuals, procedures, and other documentation.
  • Interface with engineers to resolve problems.
  • Assist engineers in writing test procedures.
  • Devise calibration methods, equipment set-ups and writing procedures, as required.
  • Communicate with and providing feedback to customers.
  • Readi, interpret and understand written or verbal requirements, procedures and specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior calibration experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior calibration experience.
  • Requires U.S. Citizenship or status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement. 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Calibration/Instrumentation experience in a laboratory environment preferred.
  • General knowledge of technical requirements for the calibration of measuring and test equipment (ANSI-Z540).
  • Basic knowledge of all calibrated equipment, ability to calibrate all tools and working knowledge of drawing interpretation.
  • Knowledge of physical/dimensional and electronic metrology principles and practices, ability to work with all types of electronic test equipment.
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning & tolerancing; ability to read circuit schematics; ability to solder are desired.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $30.53/hr MIN - $56.97/hr MAX. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
