The Boeing Company is looking for a Cloud Solution Architect (Senior or Lead) to join the team in Seattle, WA; Everett, WA; Kent, WA; Berkeley, MO; Dallas, TX; Seal Beach, CA; Long Beach, CA; Mesa, AZ; North Charleston, SC; or Ridley Park, PA.
You will join Enterprise Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data (EAI&D) team driving Next-Gen Data and AI Platform capability development and solution delivery, including major acquisitions and extending connectivity across Boeing, Suppliers, and Customers for Information Digital Technology and Security.
You will deliver Microservices and Application Programing Interface (API) first Data Platforms that support tens of thousands of business processes spanning Supply Chain, airplane development, manufacturing, and afterspanet services. This role needs someone who can quickly understand operational needs, define requirements, lead the technical design and its implementation, and ensure durable success with sustainability front-of-mind.
Your focus will include Technical Design, Strategy, and Security (including Threat Model Review), Leadership for Technical staff, and in some cases, hands-on delivery. Success in this role requires strong skills in Agile methods, Software Engineering, Data Architecture, and Continuous Integration / Deliver (CI-CD). You should feel comfortable architecting and helping deliver a >99.96 availability cloud-agnostic solution in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure that can be relied on for building and servicing airplanes. You will be supported by world-class tools and expert teams specializing in Product Management, data, automation, and AI to help you succeed.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads design and deployment of complex cloud-based solutions across multiple workstreams leveraging Cloud Service Provider (CSP) native services and reference patterns
Partners with relevant stakeholders in the Information technology and business teams on existing and new cloud-based products/services and solutions of high complexity in line with standards defined by the enterprise team
Leads developers to deploy and support highly complex applications in a public cloud environment, evaluate performance and implement enhancements
Directs implementation of cloud services and integration with in-house applications and systems
Delivers and support infrastructure-as-code solutions of high complexity across different workstreams focused on full application stack, including infrastructure and software
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience working in a lead role responsible for planning, organizing, and leading personnel to solve complex technical problems
5+ years of experience designing and developing software using Python, C/C++, C and/or Java
5+ years of experience in database design/development
5+ years of experience with Product Lifecycle (development, deployment, modification and support)
5+ years of experience leading technical design, execution, and sustainment of Production-Grade applications and/or services
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with cloud technologies (ex. Amazon Web Services, Azure)
Experience with API first integration
Experience working with Cloud-Agnostic and/or Open-Source tools (ex. Kubernetes, Apache Foundation)
Experience achieving Security approval of Application and/or Service architectures in production
Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all development roles and levels, with clear calls to action

Summary Pay Range for Senior (Level 4): $123,250 - $179,400
Summary Pay Range for Lead (Level 5): $144,500 - $209,300
