Commercial Officer C1/C2 Grade, SC Cleared Abbey Wood/Corsham
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Officer, C1/C2 grade, with active SC clearance, to join our Clients team at Abbey Wood/Corsham. This role focuses on supporting procurement and commercial activity across the HQ portfolio. The successful candidate will contribute to developing a procurement for a customer delivery partner, supporting the Defence Academy’s future aspirations. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to engage with a variety of key internal and external stakeholders and play a crucial role in maintaining management information, audit trails, and electronic contract files.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the pre-sourcing process and contribute to the development of pre-tender documents.
- Manage competitive procurement through a CCS Framework with demonstrated experience.
- Facilitate and manage the Cabinet Office approval process.
- Draught and finalise Commercial Strategy, ITT documents, and contract documents following contract award.
- Initiate engagement with a variety of key internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain management information, audit trails, and electronic contract files.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in sourcing and managing high-value and complex contracts in a government department.
- Familiarity with Cat D/C contracts.
- Extensive experience in managing competitive procurement through a CCS Framework.
- Proven ability to draught and finalise Commercial Strategy, ITT documents, and contract documents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with various stakeholders.
