Description:You will be the Crater/Packer for our Shipping and Receiving team. Our team is responsible for preparing and packaging materials for shipment, ensuring they are properly secured and protected during transit.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Crater/Packer, you will be responsible for determining packaging requirements and preparing materials for shipment, including building special crating fixtures and braces for unusual or large items. Your responsibilities will include:
•Determining packaging requirements from specifications, blueprints, and oral instructions
•Building special crating fixtures and braces for shipping unusual or large items
•Packaging materials by blocking, tying down, padding, securing, bracing, or other means to avoid damages
•Operating standard hand and power woodworking tools and banding equipment
•Coordinating loading or unloading of unusual items requiring special handling techniques
•Operating forklifts to unload and load trucks of incoming and outgoing material

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
