Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Understand and utilize an ERP system
- Review master routers when new orders come in.
- Prints job routers/travelers and distributes the paperwork to the necessary departments.
- Creates multi charts for saw cutting operation.
- Copies all required paperwork and documentation for required router operations and processes.
- Coordinates in-house and customer change orders.
- Upon receipt of a change order from Sales, Engineering or Metallurgy, it determines the proper routing needed to accomplish the changes and indicates on the change order form; follows up to determine that all changes have been made and any revised paperwork is sent to production, if necessary; updates all computer records.
- Maintains listing of orders on hold.
- Keeps desk manuals current for all job functions.
- Generates routers with rework operations.
- Creates split requests as needed for operation needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, vendors, customers, and other employees of the company.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Type 65 WPM (50 Statistical).
- Ability to interpret specifications and limited read blueprints.
Experience & Education
- Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical/business school; or two to four years related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
