The Boeing Company is looking for a DevOps Developer (Mid-Level, Senior or Lead) to join the team in Seattle, WA; Everett, WA; Kent, WA; Berkeley, MO; Dallas, TX; Seal Beach, CA; Long Beach, CA; Mesa, AZ; North Charleston, SC; or Ridley Park, PA.
You will join Enterprise Artificial Intelligence and Data (EAI&D) team driving Next-Gen Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Platform capability development and solution delivery, including major acquisitions and extending connectivity across Boeing, its suppliers, and customers for Information Digital Technology and Security.
You will deliver Microservices and Application Programing Interface (API) first Data Platforms and Solutions that support tens of thousands of business processes spanning supply chain, airplane development and manufacturing, and afterspanet services. This role needs someone who can quickly understand operational needs and requirements, design and execute against those requirements – and have the business and technical fluency to push back against suboptimal requirements and ultimately ensure durable success with sustainability front-of-mind.
Your focus will include technical design, hands-on delivery, execution, and operations of secure data solutions. You will provide leadership for junior or temporary staff, and you work alongside architecture, product management, and operations to define roadmaps. Success in this role requires strong skills in Agile Methods, Software Engineering, Data Architecture, and Continuous Integration / Deliver (CI-CD). You should feel comfortable executing a >99.96 availability cloud-agnostic microservices data solution in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure that can be relied on for building and servicing airplanes. You will be supported by world-class tools and expert teams specializing in Product Management, data, automation, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help you succeed.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads and performs development of build, test and deploy automation, monitoring, and analysis solutions
Identifies and leads investigation moderately complex technical and reliability challenges of in the development and implementation process, creates and recommends process improvement solutions
Builds and integrates complex software tools to enhance the products reliability and scalability
Supports setting up development and production environments, deployment of application devices
Develops best practices/methodologies for provisioning, platform scaling, configuration management, monitoring and troubleshooting
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience leading technical design, execution, and sustainment of Production-Grade applications and/or services
3+ years of experience designing and developing software using Python, C/C++, C and/or Java
3+ years of experience with database design, data modeling, or object modeling
3+ years of experience in product production and/or delivery of products/services
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
10 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with cloud technologies (ex. Amazon Web Services, Azure)
Experience with API first integration and Microservices
Experience working with Cloud-Agnostic and/or Open-Source tools (ex. Kubernetes, Apache Foundation)
Experience communicating with technical and non‑technical stakeholders across all development roles and levels, with clear calls to action

Summary Pay Range for Mid-Level (Level 3): $108,800 - $157,550
Summary Pay Range for Senior (Level 4): $123,250 - $179,400
Summary Pay Range for Lead (Level 5): $144,500 - $209,300
