What You Will Do
Pratt & Whitney is looking for a dedicated individual to support our EH&S organization. If you would like to work in a dynamic environment and possess the motivation to incorporate new ideas into practice, this may be the opportunity for you! We have an opportunity for a Environmental, Health & Safety Generalist to be based in Middletown, CT.
Drive the culture of the Environmental, Health, and Safety program at Middletown, CT facility.
Support implementation of the RTX/Pratt & Whitney EH&S Management system
Organize and maintain assigned EH&S policies to achieve and maintain compliance with regulations.
Own selected programs including implementation, active management and updates.
Participate in the site EH&S Council as needed
Lead and participate in Development Operations EH&S Council.
Oversight for all applicable federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies and procedures (Applicable safety programs include LOTO, electrical safety, machine guarding, elevated work, confined space, industrial hygiene, risk assessment, blood borne pathogens, powered industrial vehicles, respirator protection and hearing conservation)
Lead efforts to continuously improve EH&S performance and operations, including improvement programs and corrective actions, environmental protection projects, conservation activities, and integration of EH&S initiatives into overall business operations
Interface with government agencies to maintain regulatory compliance (audits, annual reports, permit applications, etc.) as required
Work with Human Resources to implement EH&S training requirements and sustain processes to ensure training compliance
Conduct safety inspections and analyzes audit findings to develop corrective actions and achieve and maintain safe work practices
Work consistently with operations to develop a positive working relationship while building EHS culture and understanding
Travel is up to 10
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences or Engineering.
8 years of experience with Environmental Health and Science in the manufacturing field or an Advanced degree with 5 years of experience.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
